Not long ago, Ulster County was a buzzing hub of economic energy. Large, multi-national corporations offered to residents hundreds of well paying jobs with generous benefits. Cutting edge business sectors attracted talent from all over the world. The local economy flourished as old and new residents alike sought to carve out rich lives in the idyllic Catskills.
Since then, the county has been a sore victim of modern corporate streamlining. Malls and storefronts are boarded, vacant for months or years. Campuses that once housed high-tech manufacturing floors are now relics. Local businesses have suffered as disposable income has vanished along with the jobs big business supplied. Ulster County now works to survive rather than to thrive. Daughtrey Ventures seeks to change that.
Our mission is singular; to bring economic diversity to Ulster County. Our plan is twofold:
Conduct/Invest in ventures that attract new and diverse business sectors to Ulster County.
Conduct/Invest in ventures that provide ownership opportunities to residents of Ulster County.
